This is just my 3rd Norelco Rotary in 27 years. They last forever and the only reason I replaced the 2nd one is because the battery wasn't holding a charge anymore-but it still worked with the cord plugged in. That said, this model shaves even closer than the first two and after several weeks of use, the battery is still on the original charge.
The thing I don't like is that the head is hinged for cleaning, whereas the others would come completely off. I have been using Norelco electric shavers ever since I can remember. This is another in a long series of top quality products.
